Just one thing you can do daily to make your life better

What's one thing you could start doing every day that would make your life better?

Back in my twenties I'd ask myself that question, I'd feel the answer rise up from my heart space. Meditate. it wasn't a screaming demand, more like a gentle, non-judgmental suggestion. I'd hear it, and sometimes I would meditate, but it took a couple of years I think before I actually made meditation a daily habit, and I can confirm, it made my life a whole lot better.

We all have endless to do lists, but not all tasks are created equal. Some 'to-do's' have significantly more positive impact on your life than others.

The one thing you need to do, maybe it's sleep more, or exercise for example, is a whole lot easier once you make it a habit. I want you to choose one thing you know will make you feel more successful and commit to making it a daily practice. It takes 66 days of repeated, no excuses, no exceptions behaviour to instill a habit.

Here's some ideas:

  • Go to bed earlier

  • a daily gratitude practice

  • daily exercise

  • daily ice bath

  • connect with loved ones: make time to connect with someone you care about every single day

  • meditation

  • journalling

  • morning intention setting

  • keeping to your nutrition protocol

  • taking your herbs and vitamins

  • daily practice of creative work

  • a nightly reflection of what you did well, what didn't go so well, and what you can do differently tomorrow.

Chances are, there are only two or three key behaviours that will improve your life exponentially. Ticking those two or three things off the list daily blows the rest of the to-do's out of the water and leads you down a life path that is happy, healthy and wise.

For now, I want you to start small, just choose one thing! Make it a habit, and reap the rewards.
