What to say when you talk to yourself
/We all have a dialogue in our heads with a running commentary about our lives and opportunities. Do you let that voice diminish and debase you? Or do you train that voice to be on your team?
Our thoughts are our whole world. Whatever thoughts you have been programmed to think affect every moment of your every day.
"A man is what he thinks about all day long" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Imagine there are two version of you:
One overwrites negative programming and self talk becomes a positive, productive self talker, and the other does not. Which future do you want to live?
In the words of a self talk expert:
'Self talk gives each of us a way to change what we would like to change, even if we haven't been able to do so in the past. It offers us a chance to stop being the old self and start to become a different, better self, a self which is no longer the product of conditioned response, but governed instead by personal choice " - Shad Helstetter Ph.D
